In the woods Palowice on the border, and Zory Szczejkowic ruins are located Waleska Steelworks, which once was in a hamlet near Palowice str.

mill residue is today called Gichtą and resembles native iron and steel industry.
first ironworks (Hamernia) existed as early as the mid-eighteenth century. They developed a method of primitive iron smelting ordnance from the ore.
still exists today, brick building with a square tower has four storeys and 15 meters in height. It was built in 1830.
